Nightwish sem a Tarja?

- O Daniel me avisou agora da mensagem do Nightwish despedindo a Tarja. Não posso dizer que não foi uma surpresa. Aparentemente, a banda vai continuar com outra vocalista. A "demissão" foi feita em carta aberta, publicada no site da banda, entregue à Tarja logo após o show em que foi gravado o "End of an Era", em Helsinki. Na carta, os membros acusaram a Tarja de ser egoísta, gananciosa e "estrelinha".

We accepted and felt ok about everything except greed, underestimating the fans, and breaking promises. It was agreed by the five of us that Nightwish would be the priority in everything that we do during 2004-2005. Still so many things were more important to you. The ultimate example being the already sold-out show in Oslo, which you wanted to cancel because you needed to rehearse for your solo concerts, meet frieds and go to the movies. Those were the words Marcelo used in an e-mail explaining the cancellation. This being just one example of so many. I couldn't think of a worse way of being selfish and dismissing our fans.

A carta coloca também parte da culpa no marido argentino da Tarja, o Marcelo. Segundo os membros da banda, ele teria transformado a Tarja numa "diva" que se achava superior a todos da banda.

We wish that from now on you will listen to your heart instead of Marcelo. Cultural differences combined with greed, opportunism and love is a dangerous combination. Do not wither yourself.

Pessoalmente, mantendo o Tuomas, que é o principal compositor, acho que a banda tem chances de sobreviver. E eu sempre desconfiei que essa combinação com o argentino não era uma boa coisa, até porque ele sempre foi grosseiro com os fãs e ela também, por tabela.

Update - A Tarja publicou um comunicado oficial no site dela, onde lamenta sua saída. Não rebate as acusações, mas diz estar chocada pelo marido ter sido envolvido no caso.
